Chronic Illness, Disability & Life-Altering Injury Mental Health Therapy in Florida

Your body changed.

And now nothing feels familiar, including you.

You’re not just dealing with symptoms.

You’re navigating the loss of control, independence, identity, and the life you thought you’d have.

When your body changes, everything changes

Chronic illness, physical disability, or a life-altering injury doesn’t just affect your body. It changes how you see yourself, what your day requires, and what your life now demands of you.

I’ve worked with many adults navigating these changes, and what shows up again and again is how much of this experience is internal and often unseen.

The constant adjustment.

The frustration with a body that no longer responds the way it once did. The grief for the life you expected, and the question of who you are now.

You may be grieving who you were, struggling to adjust to ongoing pain or limitations, or feeling disconnected from the life you expected to have.

I provide mental health therapy for adults navigating chronic illness, disability, and injury recovery, helping you process grief, rebuild your sense of identity, and find ways to live with more clarity, stability, and meaning, without losing yourself in the process.

How therapy helps you move forward when your life has changed

Therapy helps you make sense of what has changed and begin moving forward in a way that feels steady and real.

We start by slowing things down and creating space to understand how these changes are affecting you, not just practically, but emotionally and internally. This includes working through identity shifts, grief, and the ongoing impact of living with medical conditions or physical limitations.

Over time, this helps reduce overwhelm, build emotional stability, and create a clearer sense of who you are now, so you can move toward acceptance of a different life while reconnecting with meaning, purpose, and trust in yourself.
